Since then, Dr. Carl has cycled from our house near San Francisco to Mexico and the length of the continental divide from Banff to Mexico. As if that weren’t enough, he’s now preparing for a 1,500-plus-mile kayak journey through the Inside Passage from Skagway, Alaska, to Victoria Island, BC.
